...turned out to be a whole mix and match of ups and downs. Let me start... medyo long story so bear with me.
About the time when I wrote my last entry, and said that I was about to get ready, I was trying to send text messages to the rest of the boys for updates on the party. That was the time I ran out of load… no big deal really. So I decided to finish getting ready.
Then it began to rain really hard. Bad trip pero may magagawa ba ko? So I just continued getting dressed and thought, no big deal.
As I was finishing up, I suddenly remembered that I left my shoes in the car. Dammit. Why I brought them in the first place is another story. But basically, I had to get dressed and wear my slippers out to the car while it was pouring really bad. So here I was dressed in my party clothes, polo shirt and jeans and the jacket I borrowed from No (which I haven’t returned for the longest time) and the piece de resistance – my raggedy leather sandals! I even had to roll my pants up really high just to make sure my pants didn’t get too wet from the rain.
No big deal. But I’m already beginning to feel something in my gut, that something lousy may happen later in the night. But I brush it off as just another bout of morbid thinking or paranoia…
No big deal.
So I go downstairs and make my way to the car parked up front and I come across this fat kid hanging around in the lobby. I put the jacket on top of my head and this loony fat kid starts to imitate me… puts his jacket on his head too and starts to walk alongside me. Hehehe… stupid kid.
Anyway, I get in the car, a bit soaked but more or less ok, and then ready myself to go. By this time the rain is pouring really hard, so hard that I cannot see more than a few cars away… and I have to buy load pa… by this time, I started getting morbid thoughts again… thinking, if I buy load now I might get into an accident later since it’s raining so hard… and then I’ll tell myself that if I hadn’t bought load earlier, I may not have gotten into an accident.
I decide to buy load along the way na lang. Less hassle. Kasi syempre, umuulan nang malakas, mababasa pa ko pag bumili ako from some store… so mas ok if I can find a better place to buy load, like say a gas station or something… para may shade din.
Halfway through the trip I begin to get the yosi jones. So kahit umuulan I decide to light one anyway… I check my pockets… no yosi.
No big deal. Umuulan na man eh. And I’ve an extra pack stashed in my knapsack.
I finally get to the gas station on C5, park over at the store—which was pretty empty I might add—and get in, buy my load, get back in the car.
Once in the car I start sending those delayed messages. Took me about 5 to 10 minutes all in all. By this time the rain had died down a little and the mart starts filling up with people. I look back to see if there’s a car, look left, look right, and start backing out.
By this time this guy starts running out of the mart, waving at me. I brake instantly. As I peer at the right side of my pick-up through the side mirror I see the nose of his almost brand new Toyota Altis… oh shit…
To make a long story short (well this is already the peak of all the bad shit that happened to me that night anyway) instead of going to the police station, I just paid him for the inconvenience, which is all thanks to Laz by the way since I didn’t bring any money with me that night. Anyway, no damage to my vehicle, and he just got a paint scratch. It’s a good thing I was driving carefully the whole evening.
This is why I hate driving in the rain.
Maan’s party was a blast! I finally got there with no further incident and yeah we had so much fun. Maan got piss drunk, and just danced and danced and danced… which means I had to dance and dance and dance as well… so by 1AM I was so freaking tired and sweaty. Hehehe… but yeah we had lots of fun. Saying some of the boys couldn’t make it, so medyo bitin, but we were able to finish up the reserved bottles of beer for us… that was about 100 bottles I think. We only left about 5 bottles. Plus that bottle of tequila…
Now I have a hangover. One hell of a hangover. Tequila does that to me—tequila is this superman’s kryptonite. But yeah I had one hell of a time, and Maan had so much fun with her friends. She just keeps asking me over and over again if me and my friends had fun or not and it’s beginning to irritate me… hehehe… ang kulit! Lasheng pa rin ata si Ma eh… hehehehe…
Will post the party pics in a while… just have some errands to run, like return the beer bottles from my birthday party last month, and get some stuff from my sister for my dad’s death anniversary.
I foresee myself to be very busy this coming week, both at work and personally… so I may have only a few updates coming up.
*sigh* No big deal…
Like I always tell everybody when shit happens, “kung may good things, may bad things… at kung may bad things may good things…” hehehe… Ayus!
My friends (*sigh*... if I forgot you, please don't get upset... there are so many of you!) *sweat*
